One of Emanuel County’s own is once again stepping up in a big way to support local healthcare. Pro Parts Place, a Swainsboro-based lawn and agricultural equipment business, has recently contributed $30,000 to Emanuel Medical Center (EMC) through the Georgia HEART program, bringing their total support to $60,000 over the past two years.
The Georgia HEART program allows individuals and businesses to redirect their state income tax dollars to support qualified rural hospitals like EMC, helping to keep healthcare strong right here at home.
Pro Parts Place owner Josh Black says participating in the program is an easy decision. “I was born and raised in Emanuel County. This community means so much to me,” said Black. “Supporting Emanuel Medical Center through Georgia HEART is a no-brainer that lets us give back in a meaningful way.”
Contributions like this one from Pro Parts Place help the hospital continue to grow and meet the needs of the community. Recent improvements made possible through the Georgia HEART program include the opening of a new Prompt Care clinic, the addition of several new physicians, and the expansion and redesign of the Emergency Department – aimed at reducing wait times and improving patient care.
“Josh, Jessica, and the team at Pro Parts Place exemplify what it means to be true community partners,” said Damien Scott, Emanuel Medical Center CEO. “Their generous support empowers us to continue delivering exceptional, close-to-home care for the families, friends, and neighbors we proudly serve.”
Founded in 2014, Pro Parts Place specializes in quality lawn equipment and agricultural replacement parts. With more than 24,000 square feet of warehouse and office space on Highway 80 in Swainsboro, the company serves customers both locally and worldwide.
“We love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our families, our country, and our customers,” added Black. “Supporting EMC through Georgia HEART is just one way we can show that love in action.”
