Quinton Tywaun Person, Sr., age 45, departed this life on Monday, September 8, 2025, after a brief illness. A Homecoming Celebration was held Saturday, September 13, at 1 p.m. at Greater St. James Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Wise presiding and Pastor Dominick McPhail officiating. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Quinton was born February 14, 1980, to Clarissa Robinson and Joseph Person. He attended Emanuel County Schools and played football and basketball. Quinton graduated in 1999 and was awarded the Most Valuable Player in football during his senior year. He was affectionately known as “QDog” to his family and friends. Mr. Pearson is preceded in death by his sister, Bianca Pearson, and grandmother, Lillian Pearson.

Mr. Pearson leaves to cherish his memories with his parents; children, Amaya Smith, Saikeria Pearson, Quinton Pearson, Jr., Jaymarion Pearson, Ashanti Pearson, Demarion Jones and Ashton Phillips; goddaughter, Lacurria Lewis; ; grandchildren, Legend Sanders, Alaura Pearson, Isabella Perason and Quinton Pearson III; siblings, Joseph Pearson, Letrice Pearson and Mickela Robinson, all of Swainsboro, Marcus Pearson, O’Brian Murphy, Brandon Allen and Kameron London, all of Hartsville, SC; grandparents, Annie McPhail and Moses McPhail; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
