Richard “Bruh” “Flippa” Brinson, Jr., age 58, answered the Master’s call and was peacefully called home on Sunday, February 1, 2026. A Celebration of Life was held Thursday, February 5, at 12 p.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home.

Richard was born December 14, 1967, in Emanuel County, to the late Richard “Tillie” Brinson and Irene Brinson. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft as a brick mason. Richard took great pride in his work, leaving behind a legacy of skill, perseverance and reliability. To those who knew him best, Bruh was genuine, loving and deeply devoted to his family and those closest to him. Richard was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Brinson is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Cross; and sisters, Latrisha Parish and Tracie Cross.

Mr. Brinson leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Gladys Brinson; brother, Joe Cross; sisters, Essie Brinson, Martha Brinson and Mary Wadley; favorite aunt, Mildred Johnson (Pudge); special niece, Irenette Brinson Anthony; special nephew, Maurice Pullens; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
