Rollie Kirkland, Jr., age 83, departed this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Twin City Nursing Home. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, July 20, at 3 p.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chad Wiggins officiating.

Rollie was born March 25, 1941, to the late Rollie Kirkland, Sr. and Emma Edison. He was a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan and enjoyed watching them play and always had faith they would clinch the win. Rollie’s family was most important to him and it was essential that he set a good example for them, showing that through his character and hard work. Rollie was employed by Brown Farms. Mr. Kirkland is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruthie Mae Parrish Kirkland; daughter, Liza Kirkland; grandson, Alex Kirkland; and sisters, Cara Lee Watson and Eliza Kirkland.

Mr. Kirkland leaves to cherish his memories with his children, Emma Jean (Jake) Butler of Swainsboro, Annie Ruth (Pete) Kirkland of Oak Park, Frankie Mae (Gary) Kirkland of Millen, Lillie Bell (Mitchell) Kirkland and Josephine Kirkland, both of Swainsboro; five grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
