Sadie Mae Nobles, age 84, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024. A Celebration of Life was held Monday, September 30, at 12 p.m. at Mt. Zion Church in Garfield.

Sadie Mae was born September 14, 1940, in Summertown, to the late Samuel “Mutt” and Cora Lockhart Jenkins. She married Fletcher Nobles on December 27, 1958, and they celebrated 65 years together. Sadie was monumental in raising and rearing over 100 children which included her won children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and neighborhood children. Mrs. Nobles is preceded in death by her parents; tow infant brothers; siblings, Rose, Woodrow, Lottie Mae, Walter, Agnes, James, Leroy and Melrose; and her godson, Willie.

Mrs. Nobles leaves to cherish her memories with her husband; daughters, Flora (Mack) Cosby of Fort Valley, Dora (Frank) Williams of Swainsboro and Angienell (Patrick) Cuff of Dallas, TX; sons, Louis (Eilene) Nobles of Twin City, Isaac (Teresa) Nobles of Swainsboro, Kenneth (Laura) Nobles of Columbus, MI, Timothy Nobles of Atlanta, Ted (Samantha) Nobles of Graniteville, SC and Minister Benjamin (Cathy) Nobles of Moultrie, Eric (Valerie) Nobles of Atlanta; 42 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
