The Brier Creek Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution, held its monthly meeting Thursday night, January 4, at Walls Diner at 7 p.m. With President Wayne Howard presiding, they had 19 in attendance. After eating a great meal and saying the blessing, President Wayne led in the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and the SAR Pledge. The program for the evening was the installation of 2024 Brier Creek Chapter Officers. Senior Region Vice President Ed Rigil, Jr. installed the officers and President Wayne Howard. The new 2024 officers are Dess Smith III, Registrar; Don Bazemore, Sgt-at-Arms; John Fitzner, Historian; Senior RVP Ed Rigil, Jr.; Bernard Martin, Chaplain; Adam Bazemore, Secretary/Treasurer; Vice President Lee Herron; and President Wayne Howard. Senior RVP then installed the 2024 President Wayne Howard. Wayne spoke about what a great success they have had over the years, and he is looking forward to great times to come.
