SHS Band members selected to Georgia Music Educators Association Honor Bands

Congratulations to Grayson Brassell, Bo Brown and Kylee Farley for being selected to the Georgia Music Educators Association District 10 Honor Bands this year. The students were selected through a rigorous audition process from hundreds of students across District 10. The students were in Evans from February 8-10. After only 11 hours of rehearsal over the three days, all groups performed wonderfully! Brown had the unique experience of working with composer Tyler S. Grant and performing the world premiere of his commissioned piece written specifically for District 10’s 11th- and 12th-grade band titled ‘Unveiling’. Congratulations to all three students for their achievements!
