Members of the Skunk Brigade, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution, traveled to Barnesville to attend the 2nd Quarter GASSAR meeting on Saturday, July 26, at the Garden Patch Restaurant at 10 a.m. Members from the East Fall Line Region were Steve Burke Wiregrass Chapter, Don Bazemore Brier Creek Chapter, Lee Herron Brier Creek Chapter, John Derden Wiregrass Chapter, Dess Smith III Wiregrass Chapter, Emory Fennell Wiregrass Chapter, Alton McCloud Little River Chapter and Bill Tankerley Little River Chapter. With President Bill Floyd presiding, they had about 150 in attendance in person and zoom. After the Skunk Brigade participated with the Georgia Society Award Winning Color Guard, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Pledge to the SAR was said, then President Floyd called for the Posting of the Colors. Much business was handled by the BOM, but before the meeting was held, a special meeting was held outside the restaurant. The skunk brigade presented two new skunk hats to President Bill Floyd and Craig Benton, the 39th and 40th members of the Skunk Brigade.
