The Skunk Brigade traveled to Augusta on Thursday, July 4, to attend the Event at Patriot George Waltons home, Meadow Gardens, and signer of the Declaration of Independence. All Compatriots had an awesome day celebrating their freedoms at Meadow Gardens. Thank you, Ransom Bennett Schwerzler, for the invitation to participate and to Helen Powell for the recommendation. The Skunk Brigade not only brought their flintlock Pennsylvania/Kentucky 50 Cal. Rifles, Brown Bess 75 Cal. Muskets and Charleville 69 Cal. Muskets, but three of their six-pounder cannons. They fired each five times to honor those brave patriots that fought during the Revolutionary War for our freedoms that we have today. Those attending were Commander Steve Burke, Lee Herron, Don Bazemore, Bernard Martin, Cam Quick, Dess Smith III, Stephen Rigg and Ted Walker (SC). HUZZAH!!!
