Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

March 24

Officer was dispatched to Turner Dr. in reference to complainant stating two TVs were stolen from inside his home.

Officer was notified about an active warrant on offender on Turner Dr. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Officers were dispatched to N. Green St. in reference to offender rampaging through complainant’s home and showing out. C/p stated she wanted offender gone and he was advised he had to leave the property and if he returned, he would go to jail. Offender left walking the returned to the property and sat on the ground. Offender was arrested and transported to EmCo Jail.

March 25

Officer responded to W. Church St. in reference to a welfare check.

March 26

Officers were made aware of a person sleeping in a makeshift shelter in the Boneyard. Officers made contact with the male subject who stated he was homeless and didn’t think it was a problem if he slept there. He was advised that it was private property, and he could not camp there, and he stated he understood and would leave with his belongings.

Officers were dispatched to S. Green St. in reference to a female being beaten up and needed EMS. Victim stated offender started chasing her, then poked her in the eye and started beating on her but refused treatment. C/p told officers that if offender returned, she would kill him.

March 27

Officer responded to W. Moring St. in reference to complainant stating offender was dumping yard debris on his property.

Officer was alerted of an expired registration, at which time he made a traffic stop. Officer could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked the driver to exit the vehicle. Offender was found to have suspended license and a warrant out of Richmond Co. and was transported to EmCo Jail.

Officers were dispatched to Dairy Queen in reference to a vehicle driving into the building. Driver stated she was backing up and noticed a vehicle on her left side and the car was too close, so she pulled back up and doesn’t know what happened next making her crash into the building.

March 28

Officer responded to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a stolen purse. Complainant stated offender took her purse and ran off with it because he was mad that his dad was arrested in Florida when c/p and offender’s dad went to Florida and eh pulled a gun on her.

March 29

Officer responded to S. Green St. in reference to caller stating two females went to her residence and was trying to fight her. C/p stated the two females are her ex-boyfriend’s sisters and are accusing her of having his cellphone, but she does not have it.

March 30

Officer received a call where complainant stated a male subject has shoplifted from Enmarket several times and was inside and she wanted him criminally trespassed. Officer made contact with offender, and he stated he did not shoplift and was given a criminal trespass and advised not to return.

Officer was dispatched to Sunset Inn in reference to a gun being found inside a room after occupant checked out.

March 31

Officers were dispatched to WalMart in reference to a male subject causing concern for people that work there. Officer observed an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person and he could not stand up without swaying. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
