Mrs. Sue Henry, 77, of Swainsboro, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Monday, June 10, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home. The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Henry was born May 16, 1947, in Swainsboro, to the late Leon Edenfield and Rebecca Smith Edenfield. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Sue was an avid reader and enjoyed solving word search puzzles. She retired from Maryland’s Fried Chicken as their manager and also worked at Argo Mills/Creston. Sue loved Bingo, Butter Bean Auction and Friday Night Socials. She was very loved by everyone at Swainsboro Presbyterian Apartments. Sue was the President of Resident Council at Swainsboro Presbyterian Apartments for twelve years. Mrs. Henry is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Charlie Henry.

Mrs. Henry is survived by her son, Destry Henry (Kim); grandchildren, Charlie Henry, Briana Henry and Jarett Henry; great-grandchildren, Rovie and Ripken; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
