Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Susan Jean Allman, age 72, of Kite, on Monday, June 10, 2024, at her home. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.

Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Susan was the daughter of Harry Frederick, II and Marian Frey Leiner. She and her husband came from Florida to Georgia in 2006. Susan loved all dogs and for many years, she had her own business and was the only dog groomer in Kite. Through the years, she had had too many pet dogs to count. Susan also drove a school bus for Emanuel County Schools. She had a love for horses and her favorite was her Friesian stud horse, Steffen. Mrs. Allman is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Patricia Thompson and Edith McDonald; and one brother, Harry Frederick Leiner, III.

Survivors include her husband, William P. Allman of Kite; daughter, Angela Henderson (Nickie) of Kite; brothers, Kenneth Leiner and Kyle Leiner; grandchildren, Mackenzie Nicole Johnson, Michaela Cobb and Jake Hageman.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pruitt Health Hospice for their loving kindness and care during a difficult time.

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
