Swainsboro Rotary Club holds meeting

The Swainsboro Rotary club met at the Rustic Grill during the noon hour on July 28, 2025, for their weekly meeting. The meeting was called to order by President Lynn Brinson, and the club recited the pledge and 4-way test. The Rotary Club of Swainsboro welcomed The Sunshine House Regional Children’s Advocacy Center to their July 28 meeting. Speaking on behalf of The Sunshine House was Carol Donaldson, former Executive Director and current Director of Development, and Haylee Free, newly appointed Executive Director. The ladies spoke about the mission of The Sunshine House, their upcoming fundraiser {Dancing with the Stars}, and an introduction of the new Executive Director. The ladies also shared ways that the local communities can support the efforts of The Sunshine House. At this time, hygiene items and school supplies are in need. The 2nd Annual Dancing with the Stars is being held on August 9 at the city auditorium. Show times are at 2 and 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at The Sunshine House or at the gate upon arrival. Adult tickets are $25, and student tickets are $15. The Sunshine House Children’s Advocacy Center serves Emanuel, Candler, Toombs, Washington, and Jefferson Counties. After the presentation, the meeting was adjourned.
