The Fall Line Chapter Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held their monthly meeting Tuesday night, January 13, at 7 p.m. at the Washington County Chamber of Commerce in Sandersville. With President Sandy Mercer presiding, they had eight in attendance. President Sandy led the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and Sons of the American Revolution, then he asked Chaplain Ken Lindsey to say the invocation. President Sandy then introduced the Georgia Society Senior Vice President Bill Tankersley to install the Fall Line Chapter 2026 officers: President Sandy Mercer, Vice President Dess Smith III, Secretary/Treasurer Keith Everett, Registrar Sandy Mercer, Chaplain Ken Lindsey, Sgt. at Arms Ken Lindsey, Editor Allen Boyd and Webmaster William Tankersley. President Sandy then talked about the success of the Wreaths Across America and the planned dedication of the 250th Anniversary Patriot marker on July 3, 2026, on the Washington County Courthouse Square. The marker will have all the Revolutionary War Veterans that were buried in Washington County listed on it. President Sandy then led the SAR Recessional and Chaplain Ken said the benediction.
