Students at Twin City Elementary brought cultural icons and historical figures to life during the school’s first annual Outlook Wax Museum. The event, held on the school’s stage, showcased students’ research and creativity as they embodied historical figures for their peers and families.

Each student selected and researched a historical figure, created a timeline, and displayed a poster to accompany their presentation. Third through fifth graders took their projects a step further by memorizing speeches about their chosen figures. Throughout the morning, students presented their work to visiting classes, teachers, and family members.

To help fund the project, Outlook teacher Mrs. Jennifer Best applied for and was awarded a Mill Creek Grant. The grant helped cover the cost of materials, allowing students to fully engage in this interactive learning experience.

The event was a great success, providing students with a deeper understanding of history while building their research and public speaking skills.
