Have you ever read the 23rd Psalms? What does it mean to you? David said, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want”. I will have no need to go further, that is if I really accept the Lord as my Shepherd. Being my Shepherd means that he is my everything. Being My Shepherd means that he is my provider. Philippians says, “ But my God shall supply all your needs, according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus ” WOW. He will never run out of anything. “….no good thing will he withhold from them who walk uprightly.”Therefore since he is my Shepherd, I will follow him. I will walk uprightly. I will obey his commands. I will not focus on what I want because He will supply my needs. In order to follow him I must listen to him through his Word. John 1:1 says,” In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” Also, Jesus says in John chapter 10, “my sheep hear my voice and a stranger they will not follow.”
So today remember that God is. He was because he always has been, he is and he shall always be. So let him be whatever you need today. Remember, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”
