Mr. Thomas Wayne Davis, Jr., 47, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend John Durden officiating. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, February 14, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Wayne was born in Swainsboro on December 27, 1977, to Thomas Wayne Davis, Sr. and Brenda Davis. He was employed at Bulloch County Agriculture Complex in Statesboro. He was a supervisor. Wayne loved his family. He considered his stepchildren his own. Wayne enjoyed the outdoors and being around horses. He would do anything for anyone to the point of giving you the shirt off his back.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Belinda Davis of Swainsboro; mother, Brenda Davis of Swainsboro; son, Sam Jones (Carter King) of Gainesville; daughters, Heather Hudson (David) of Collins, April Lairsey (Michael) of Soperton; sister, Nina Fields of Swainsboro; 5 grandsons; nephews, Brandon Peebles, Brendon Peebles, Jed Peebles; several aunts, uncles and many friends.

Pallbearers were Ted Sconyers, Johnny Mills, Jody Peebles, Jamie Chalker, Allen Farley and Wes Mullison.

The family respectfully requested everyone to wear blue jeans in honor of Wayne.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of the arrangements.
