Swainsboro High School celebrated a proud moment as three senior cheerleaders—Kaylee Cox, Dekota Mason and Macie Purcell—signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at Brewton-Parker College.

These student-athletes have been instrumental in the success of Swainsboro’s cheer program. Together, they were two-time regional champions and two-time regional runners-up. They also earned the title of GHSA State Sectional Champions twice and secured a second-place finish at sectionals in another season. Furthermore, they consistently placed in the top six-teen at the state level for four consecutive years, which included one third-place finish and two fifth-place finishes.

Recognized not only for their athletic achievements but also for their academic dedication, all three participated in dual enrollment and consistently excelled in challenging coursework. They were also honored as All-Region Cheerleaders.

Coach Luci McNeely remarked, “Brewton-Parker College is not only gaining three of the most talented athletes in Southeast Georgia but also three remarkable young women who lead with heart, integrity, and determination.” She also extended gratitude to the families of the signees for their years of support and commitment to the cheer program, and for “trusting the process” every step of the way.

Joining Kaylee, Dekota and Macie for the special signing ceremony were family members, friends, teammates, coaches, and school administrators.
