Thy Kingdom Come (pt 2)

As we continue to explore the Kingdom, we do a recap to Daniel 2:44: “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Now Jesus prayed, “thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

Now we are here on earth. Jesus announced the kingdom to come in earth. The will of God is done in earth just like it is in heaven. So what kingdom is being set up by God which lasts forever and destroys all other kingdoms. Well, let’s get right to the point. In Romans 14:17 Paul reveals to us that The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

While the King was on earth, the Holy Ghost did not dwell inside humans. Doing the day before Jesus the Spirit of God would come upon his prophets but it was not indwelling.

In John chapter 14, (read the chapter in its entirety) Jesus said don’t let your heart be troubled because I am going away.

He assured his disciples that he will send another Comforter, that will abide with you forever. He said I will not leave you comfortless. In verse 26 Jesus said, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

So as we continue to explore “Thy Kingdom Come”, we will learn its arrival, where it abides and how it operates on earth.
