Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Triena McKuhen Cox, age 87, of Adrian, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at her home. Funeral services were conducted Monday, February 17, at 2 p.m. at Durden Hudson Funeral Directors, Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brad McKenzie officiating. Visitation was held Sunday, February 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors. Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matt Kennedy, Benji McNeal, Otto McNeal, T.J. Grant, Aaron Deese and Brandon Deese.

Triena was born January 4, 1938, to the late Garfield and Madie Beasley McKuhan. A lifelong resident of Emanuel County, she was a school bus driver for Emanuel County Board of Education for 20 years. Triena enjoyed fishing, sewing, riding dirt roads with her family and going to auctions. She was a great cook. Triena loved her work and her family, but she especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended Jesus Saves Church. Mrs. Cox is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 24 years, Wiley Cox; grandson, Devon Thompson; great-grandchild, Jay Judy; and sister, Linda Scott.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa K. Kennedy (Hank) of Rentz and Avon Misty Hadden (Gene) of Adrian; sons, Travis H. Hadden (Lisa) and Ricky Hadden (Lynda), both of Adrian; sisters, Sybil Wick of Loganville; brother, Eddie McKuhan (Anna) of Loganville; nine grandchildren, Nikki Hadden, Marie Kennedy Judy (Brandon), Matt Kennedy, Blake Thompson, Chasity Thompson, Brittani Thompson, T.J. Grant (Jessica), Melissa Sheme (Matt) and Terrael Surrency (Bubba); 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
