The Veterans at the Library met at the Vann Community Center to start restoring the historic Vann sign that was blown over by Hurricane Helena 15 months ago. Friday, December 19, they stood the sign back up. After Christmas, they plan on cleaning the algae off the sign and repainting it. The sign has been there for at least 75 years, since appx. 1928. The W.E. Vann’s lived on North Main Street and were members of the First Methodist Church.
