Emanuel County Institute recently held its annual Veterans Day program, gathering students, staff, and community members to honor local veterans for their service.

The program began with the presentation of the flag by ECI’s JROTC students. Mrs. Dena Walden led the crowd in the National Anthem. Members of the Senior Beta Club then welcomed everyone and gave an invocation, expressing thanks to the veterans in attendance.

Guest speaker Colonel John T. Garrity, III shared remarks about the importance of service and appreciation for the sacrifices veterans have made. His message highlighted the values of commitment and dedication seen in those who have served in the military.

Adding to the event, the middle school chorus and the school band performed patriotic songs, giving the audience a musical reminder of the day’s purpose. Several veterans were in attendance and were recognized for their service, with applause from students and staff.

ECI’s Veteran’s Day program provided a chance for the school and community to come together, honoring those who have dedicated themselves to serving the country.
