Wadie Moore Capito, age 89, of Denmark, SC, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025. Graveside services were held Thursday, January 1, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Adrian with Elder George McNure officiating.

Pallbearers were Barrett Breland, Charlie Breland, Chaz Breland, Ben Hay and Thomas Hay.

Wadie was born January 18, 1936, in Adrian, to the late Claude Moore and Jewel Beasley Moore. She was the secretary at Swainsboro Hospital for a number of years and was a member of the Swainsboro First Baptist Church. Wadie loved playing golf and enjoyed spending time with her pets. She was the widow of James S. Capito after having been married for 60 years. Mrs. Capito is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Martha Nell Williams; and brother, Jerome Moore.

Survivors include her nieces, Patricia (Charles) Breland of Denmark, SC and Dale (Ray) Carter of Ft. Myers, FL; nephews, Phillip (Linda) Moore of Barnwell, SC, Larry Moore of Bonair, and Mark (Dee) Monroe of Bonair; special friends, Carolyn Wall of Fair Hope, AL and Winnette Moore of Adrian; and a number of cousins.

Memorial contributions may be given to: Mt. Zion Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Steve McNure, 675 Womack Rd., Portal, GA 30450.

Folk Funeral Home, Inc., Denmark assisted the family with arrangements.
