The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting Tuesday night, November 18, at the Rustic Grill at 6:30 p.m. With Dianna Wedincamp presiding, they had 14 in attendance including guests, Jimmy Wedincamp, Jimmy Kangeter, Seaborn Roberts and Joele Romanchik-Cerpovicz. Joelle won the Chocolate Cheesecake and Jimmy Kangeter won the Pumpkin Cheesecake, both donated by Cheryl Goodman and Dianna Wedincamp won the Domino’s Pizza. President Dianna gave an update on the renovation of the historic Dixie Theatre. Some new wood had to be replaced upstairs at the Theatre in time the showing of “Wicked: For Good.” The Kiwanis Club has been asked to assist with guiding some school children through the showing of some Christmas movies in December.
