Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project.
The date of location and design approval is: February 26, 2025
The proposed project would replace the existing bridge at McGarrh Mill Pond Road over Daniels Mill Creek located in Emanuel County approximately 2.0 miles NW of the City of Summertown in Georgia Militia District 57 and 1208. The proposed bridge is 130-foot long and 28-foot wide gutter to gutter with a proposed roadway typical section that would consist of two 10-foot travel lanes (one in each direction) and 5-foot rural shoulders. The total length of the project is approximately 0.1 miles. An off-site detour will be used for the duration of the approx-imate 18 months of construction.
Georgia Dept. of Transportation would be responsible for acquiring property rights for this project.
