Willie Louis Nobles, Sr., age 66, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025. A Celebration of Life was held Wednesday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Church in Garfield.

Louis was born April 4, 1959, in Swainsboro, to Fletcher Nobles and the late Sadie Mae Nobles. After graduating from Swainsboro High School in 1977, he joined the US Army and proudly built a distinguished 21-year career, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following Louis’ military retirement, he worked for Loomis Corporation, then went on to serve as an ATM Specialist for Diebold. He later joined the Department of Corrections where he gave 12 more years of dedicated service before retiring again. He was a devoted son, adoring husband, proud father and grandfather, brother and faithful friend. Mr. Nobles is preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Isaac Nobles, Fletcher Nobles, Jr. and Rodney Nobles; maternal and paternal grandparents; and mother-in-law, Ackines Steele.

Mr. Nobles leaves to cherish his memories with his father; devoted wife of 14-1/2 years, Eilene S. Nobles; children, Stephen (Aliceson) Nobles, James Nobles, Willie (Kim) Nobles, Jr. and Jacqueline Nobles; stepchildren, Melvin (Annette) Mosley, Timmy Mosley, John Locket and Latoya (Scotty) Sapp; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eight siblings; and a host of extended family and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
