EREA members attend meeting

Nine Emanuel Retired Educators Association members attended the Georgia Retired Educators Area 5 and 6 meeting in Jesup on Wednesday, August 12. The welcome was given by Edna Shurley, Area 5 Director and host of the meeting. Area 6 Director, Gwendolyn Yarbrough gave the inspiration. GREA president Dr. Sallie Mills and President-Elect Liz Bouis spoke, as well as GREA Executive Director Johnny Smith. Other speakers at the event included representatives from Teacher Retirement System, AMBA, and Dr. Bill Sloan, the GREA Legislative Liaison.

GREA Executive Director, Johnny Smith will provide the program at EREA’s meeting on September 16 at Swainsboro Middle School. All retired educators are encouraged to attend the meeting, which begins at noon.
