David Frank Williams, age 94, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, following a brief illness. Graveside services will be Saturday, August 29, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Garfield.
David was born October 21, 1931, in Emanuel County near Garfield. He was the second son of the late Gordon Newton Williams, Sr. and Levonia (Donie) Bennett Williams. David retired from farming and gardening, which was his love. He adored his nephews and niece and enjoyed spoiling them. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gordon Newton Williams, Jr.; brother-in-law, James D. Zimmerman; and niece, Lucinda Ann Zimmerman.
Mr. Williams is survived by his sister, Mary Lee Williams Zimmerman of Midville; two nephews, Charles M. Zimmerman (Kim) of Midville and Walton D. Zimmerman (Shelia) of Evans; niece, Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Zimmerman Stanford (Jonathan) of Savannah; four great nephews, Jacob, Matthew, Andrew and Samuel Zimmerman, all of Evans; one great niece, Kristen Callahan Crisswell (Garrett); and one great nephew, Rylan Crisswell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to: Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1593 Mt. Olivet Church Rd, Garfield, GA 30425; or your favorite charity in his memory.
