September 4

Officer was patrolling on North Main Street when a vehicle was observed failing to maintain its lane of traffic several times. A traffic stop was conducted where alcohol was located along with the driver being under 21. The driver was written a citation for underage possession and asked where he bought the alcohol from. Officer went to the business who sold to him and wrote citations for sale of alcohol to a minor.

Officers were dispatched to Zaxby’s in reference to a large crowd in the parking lot. Once officers arrived on scene the crowd left slowly. Officers were then dispatched to Burger King due to several teens in a verbal argument. The victim stated that the offender slapped her friend. The offender denied that he had ever hit her.

Officer was dispatched to North Coleman Street in reference to a domestic that had already occurred. Offender was criminally trespassed from the property.

Officer responded to South Main Street in reference to a Lieutenant requesting assistance with an individual who was observed urinating in the bushes. Offender was arrested for public indecency.

Officers responded to Pierce Street in reference to a resident being involved in a physical altercation with another resident and an employee. The offender was transported to EMC for evaluation.

Officer responded to the intersection of Kite Road and McLeod Bridge Road in reference to damage to a service pedestal caused by an unknown vehicle.

Officers were on W MLK Blvd when they heard two loud echoing sounds resembling the sound of a gunshot. Negative contact was made with anyone in the area.

Officer was dispatched to West Church Street in reference to a complaint of property damage involving broken windows. C/p stated that she is currently remodeling the residence and plans to move into the home soon she stated that when she arrived at the residence, she. Discovered that an unknown person had thrown an ashtray through a windowpane. There was also a cinder block thrown through another window.

Officer was dispatched to Jesus Saves Church in reference to an unknown and unwanted individual observed on security cameras attempting to gain access to the church. Driver was located and stated that she pumped an extra $10 worth of fuel and did not have sufficient funds to pay, and that she was trying to get into the church to ask for financial assistance. It was found that her driver’s license was suspended, and she was written a citation.

September 5

Officer was dispatched to the area of King Circle Drive in reference to the caller stating there had been individuals in the yard and wanted officers to check the area. Negative contact was made.

Officer responded to South Green Street in reference to a fight. Offender was arrested for simple battery.

Officer responded to Allen Street in reference to a domestic in progress with the offender fleeing the scene. Offender was trespassed from the property.

Officer was dispatched to the area of Advantage Lane in reference to the caller stating a vehicle was traveling to Walmart, and the driver did not have a license.

September 6

Officer was dispatched to Sycamore Street in reference to the caller finding a recording machine in her home that does not belong to her. C/p stated that her daughter told her there was a recording device placed in there by her father. The daughter stated that her father asked for the door code to the residence and that if she did not give it to him, she would be in trouble. The retiring device was turned over to officers.

Officers were dispatched to South Racetrack Street in reference to a neighbor reporting loud music. Citations were issued.

Officer responded to North Coleman Street in reference to a runaway juvenile. It was found that the juvenile’s boyfriend had picked her up, she was retrieved, and the boyfriend was advised not to return to the residence.

Officers responded to Harmon Park in reference to a battery. C/p stated that the offender came to the location and attempted to slap him in reference to a prior incident. he further stated that the offender began yelling profanities in the presence of children and other adults. The offender stated that c/p made the same statements and used the same words towards him. Both parties were advised to avoid contact with each other.

Officer responded to Gumlog Road in reference to a fight. all parties were separated.

Officer responded to West Street in reference to a domestic in progress. All parties were separated.

Officers were dispatched to Cedar Street in reference to the c/p’s yard being rolled by children for homecoming. No individuals were found in the area. Later that evening, another call was made by the same c/p saying the house was being rolled again. The complainant wanted the juveniles to clean up the yard.

September 7

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no headlights illuminated during nighttime hours. The driver was found to have a suspended license and was placed under arrest.

Officer was dispatched to North Coleman Street in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. C/p stated that the offender was her ex-boyfriend.

Officer responded to East Pine Street in reference to an attempted break-in.

C/p came to SPD for a report. She stated that her husband had removed all of her belongings from the residence and placed them on the side of the road.

Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street in reference to two unwanted guests at the residence. one offender was found to have an active warrant and was arrested.

Officer responded to Fowler Street in reference to an unresponsive adult male. The male was declared deceased on the scene.

Officer responded to South Main Street in reference to a domestic. All parties were separated.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after a call was made from the driver’s grandparents stating that the driver was 15 and snick out of the house. Citations were issued.

September 8

Officer responded to North Racetrack Street for a domestic. All parties were separated.

Officer was dispatched to East Pine Street in reference to an alleged fight in the parking lot. Negative contact was made.

Officer took a report at SPD for a missing tag.

Officer was dispatched to E

C/p came to SPD to make a report regarding a dispute involving a payment.

Offender was arrested for operation of an unregistered vehicle.

Officer responded to West Moring Street for a welfare check. No one was located inside the residence.

Officer responded to Hickory Trace Circle in reference to a possible domestic. The situation was resolved.

September 9

Officer responded to Walmart in reference to a missing phone. Phone was located and returned to the owner.

Officer responded to Gumlog Road in reference to a female stating that her boyfriend had just beaten her. Officers were unable to locate the offender.

September 10

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 56 in a 35 MPH zone. A strong odor of marijuana was detected from the vehicle and was located. Offenders were placed under arrest.

Officer responded to West Moring Street in reference to a welfare check. No one answered the door, but a neighbor advised that the resident was in Atlanta at the VA hospital.

C/p came to SPD to file a missing tag report.

Officer responded to North Racetrack Street in reference to the caller stating that she needed help. Upon arrival, c/p stated that the offender would not let her leave the residence. C/p was able to leave the scene.

Officer received a call from a deputy stating that there was a vehicle yelling profanities at a group of females on the walking track at Harmon Park. The offender was located and failed to comply and was written a citation and released to his parents.
