Dennis Mason, Sr., age 62, entered into eternal peace Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah. A Life and Legacy Celebration was held Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m. at the Swainsboro Auditorium with Pastor Chad Wiggins officiating.

Dennis was born April 1, 1962, in Swainsboro, to the late Jim Worthen and Sarah Mason Shivers. He attended Emanuel County schools. After many years of service, Dennis retired from Swainsboro Police Department and Georgia National Guard Army. He was employed by CLT Trucking and enjoyed fishing. Cpl. Mason is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jimmy Worthen, Terry Worthen, George Worthen, Marvin Worthen, Tommy Worthen, Ella Worthen, Leroy Worthen, Helen “Toby” Bell, Alma Parker and Albert Worthen.

Cpl. Mason leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife, Freda Mason; daughters, Kirby McLeod and April Mason; son, Dennis Mason, Jr.; stepdaughter, Catrina McLeod-Eason; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
