Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory announces the death of Ms. Deborah Kay McCoy Edge, age 63, of Cobbtown, on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Oxley Park Health & Rehab in Lyons. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 21, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Donald “Sport” Hooks officiating. The family received friends Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tomlinson Funeral Home.
Deborah was born July 20, 1960, in Florida, to the late Quincey McCoy and Barbara Futch Reeves. She was a retired convenience store manager. Deborah loved playing Yahtzee and Bingo, as well as watching movies. She was a wonderful, loving and giving woman who loved being around people, especially family and friends. Many neighborhood children still to this day call her grandma. Deborarh was an outgoing person, and this continued after she began to reside at Oxley Park, quickly becoming one of the friendliest and most beloved patients there. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edge is preceded in death by her brothers, Bruce Reeves, James Reeves and Dean Mccoy, and sister, Chris Tina McCoy.
Mrs. Edge is survived by her daughter, Misty Bird (David) of Cobbtown; grandchildren, Dylan Bird and Maci Cobb (Dustin), both of Cobbtown; a specially loved child she claimed as her own grandchild, Kayden Williams; niece, Sonya Hall of Glennwood; nephew, Michael Reeves of Daytona Beach, FL; brothers, Billy Dean McCoy of Vidalia, Jessie McCoy (Nita) and David Anderson (Carrie), all of Lyons; sisters, Brenda Jones (Bob) of Ruby, SC and Elizabeth Ahl of Alma; and numerous extended family members and many friends.
Tomlinson Funeral Home & Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
