Aszleen Spires Johnson, 93

Mrs. Aszleen Spires Johnson, age 93, of Twin City, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026, at her residence. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 18, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Randy Graham and Greg Ely officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Family received friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers were Bill Cowart, Casey Cowart, Chris Cowart, Mitchell Cowart, Caleb Cowart, Ethan, Cowart, Cohen Felix and Case Cowart.

Aszleen was born June 8, 1933, in Orangeburg County, SC, to the late Henry Vinson and Chrystabell Chavis Spires. She retired from Jockey International after 40 years and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Aszleen was loving mother and grandmother whose main concern was to make people happy. She was also dedicated to telling everyone about the love of God. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Johnson; sons J.P. Owens and Robert Johnson; and eight siblings.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Katie Cowart (Billy); sons, Tony Felix (Laurie) and Bobby Wayne Johnson (Rhonda); 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and extended family.

Tomlinson Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
