Mrs. Cynthia Cronic Barwick, age 74, of Adrian, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at AU Medical Center in Augusta. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 29, at 1 p.m. at Watson Odomville Cemetery with Reverend Tim Price officiating.

Born in Madison, Cynthia was one of four children born to the late Louis Samuel Cronic and Cornelia Inez Kenny Cronic. She lived and worked in the Atlanta area until moving to Adrian in 2008. While in Atlanta, Cynthia worked for thirty-six years as a Payroll Accountant for J.C. Penney in Atlanta and Dowling Textile in McDonough. After moving to Adrian, she worked at Wayne Scott’s Westside One Stop Convenience Store and as a Customer Service Manager at WalMart in Swainsboro. Cynthia enjoyed visits with her family and crocheting afghans to share with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barwick is preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Rutledge Jr.; siblings, Jimmy Cronic and Jean Freeman; and grandson, Donnie Lee Davis.

Affectionately known as “Miss Cindy”, she leaves behind her husband, Lonnie Hilton Barwick of Adrian; children, Waymon Samuel Rutledge (Melanie) of Fairburn, Kelly Rutledge (Tina) of Hampton and Tracy MacDonald (Josh) of Griffin; several grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME was in charge of arrangements.
