Daughtry speaks to Mill Creek

The Mill Creek Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting April 15, at the Old Timey Restaurant at 6 p.m. With President Randy Jones presiding, they had seven in attendance. After the invocation and Pledges to the U.S. Flag and the SAR, President Randy asked East Fall Line Region Vice President Dess Smith III to introduce the program presenter, Hu Daughtry. Compatriot Hu talked about his new book, “48 Stars in the Trunk”. His presentation included stories about his dad and his uncle that was killed on the 8th day in the Korean War. Dess then presented President Randy Jones with the 246th Anniversary Brier Creek event chapter flag Streamer for presenting the Chapter wreath at the battlefield.
