David Emanuel Tennis off to a fast start

On March 13, the Eagles Tennis team travelled to Macon to take on the Covenant Rams and Windsor Knights to open region play. On the girls’ side versus Windsor Academy, Emma Proctor and Kyli Bell defeated Gracie Swift and Sealy Dent. The boys’ team had a very successful day as Peyton Lee defeated Cameron Houston, Paxton Dixon defeated Isaiah Wilson, AJ Edenfield defeated Jackson and Peyton Lee and Paxton Dixon defeated Houston and Ben Tribble.

The teams then competed against Covenant Academy as Emma Proctor and Kyli Bell defeated Avery Walters and Suzanna Foskey for the girls’ team and AJ Edenfield defeated Gunner Erickson for the boys’ team.

On March 18, the David Emanuel Tennis team competed against Robert Toombs and Trinity Christian of Dublin in region play at East Georgia College. In girls’ action versus Robert Toombs, Emma Proctor defeated Savannah Moore, Maddie Perkins and Addie Brown defeated Macy Kennedy and Hannah Williams, and Emma Proctor and Kyli Bell defeated Haylie Kight and Ella Newton. On the boys’ side, Paxton Dixon defeated James Varnes and Peyton Lee and Paxton Dixon defeated Houston and Ben Tribble.

In girls’ action versus Trinity Christian, Emma Proctor and Kyli Bell defeated Elizabeth Hill and Sara Hawkins and Maddie Perkins and Addie Brown defeated Bethany Hawkins and Clarita Yoder. Peyton Lee defeated Daniel Hester for the boys.

On March 21, the DEA tennis team ventured to Millen to take on Jenkins County. Emma Proctor and Kyli Bell took home a win, as did Addie Brown and Maddie Perkins in a marathon match ending in a tiebreaker.
