The January 2024 term of the Emanuel County Grand Jury reconvened on Friday, March 15, 2024. David Schecter served as foreperson, Patrick Andrews served as assistant foreperson, Casey Woods served as clerk and John Allen Bailey served as bailiff.

The District Attorney’s Office presented 26 bills of indictment to the Grand Jury, and the Grand Jury returned 23 true bills and 3 no bill.

True bills included:

Charles Mykail Cureton: Identity fraud; Criminal attempt to commit a felony

Melody Tennil Smith: Criminal damage to property in the second degree

Charles Nathan Burgess: Aggravated assault (x2); Battery, family violence; Interference with government property

Andrew Rhett Edgy: Fleeing or attempting to elude police officer; Operation of unregistered vehicle; Taillight violation

Tywan Lekeith Boynton: Aggravated assault, family violence

Derrick Antonio Swan: Robbery by sudden snatching (x2); Financial transaction card fraud (x4)

Steven Randolph Jackson: Obstruction of an officer (x3); Criminal trespass

Quashaun Lamarius Chillious: Possession of controlled substance w/intent to distribute; Theft by receiving stolen property; Giving false information to law enforcement officer (x2); Possession of firearm during commission of a felony; Making false statement; Possession of firearm by convicted felon

Cameron Shadell Robinson: Possession of meth; Fleeing or attempting to elude police officer; Driving without a license; Possession of drug related objects; Operating vehicle without insurance; Failure to wear protective gear on a motorcycle; Taillight violation

Harold Hood Ricks Jr.: Possession of schedule II controlled substance w/intent to distribute; Possession of meth w/intent to distribute; Possession of marijuana w/intent to distribute; Speeding; Possession of firearm by first offender probationer

Henry Charles Sanford Jr.: Burglary in the second degree (x2)

Balik Tynerious Johnson: Fleeing or attempting to elude police officer; Obstruction of an officer; Possession of marijuana less than an ounce

Christopher Shane Richardson and Rebecca Sue Wilkerson: Possession of meth; Possession of drug related objects

Daylon Jamel Vickers: Fleeing or attempting to elude police officer; Driving while license suspended; Obstruction of an officer; Speeding

Anthony Deshawn Randall: Possession of cocaine; Driving while license suspended

Kendell Deshawn Flournoy: Possession of firearm by convicted felon; Obstruction of an officer (x2)

Jayjay Cody Pace: Possession of firearm by first offender probationer

Kelvin Demetrius Thomas: Theft by taking; Possession of firearm by convicted felon

Raymond Andy Bush: Criminal damage to property in the second degree; Theft by taking; Burglary in the second degree
