DEA Eagles host John Hancock Rebels

On Friday, January 19, the Eagles hosted the John Hancock Rebels at home in Stillmore.

Starting the evening was the middle school girls’ game. The DEA girls captured a 22-13 victory

over John Hancock. Emily McRae was the lead scorer for DEA with 7 points. Also contributing

for DEA were Aubrey Scott and Lyla Martin both with 4 points each, Ava Williams 3 points, and Milly Farmer and Scott Hall each with 2 points. The DEA middle school boys lost a close game to the Rebels, 32-30. Karson Kettles was the top scorer for DEA with 13 points. Lake Woods added 6 points, Jack Evan Fields 5 points, Eli Way 3 points and Dalton Flowers with 3 points.

In the varsity girls’ game, the DEA Eagles came out victorious with a score of 57-49. Leading

the team with points was Kylie Bell with 16 points and following close behind was Aubrey

Williams with 15 points and Emma Proctor with 13 points. Also contributing for the Eagles were Chirsten McCoy with 5 points, Addalyn Terwilliger 4 points, and Kylie Bell and Bailey McNure each with 2 points. In the varsity boys’ game, the Eagles suffered a close loss 60-57 versus John Hancock. Randon Williams led the team on the scoreboard with 16 points. Peyton Lee followed with 15 points and Billy Martin with 13 points. Also helping the Eagles on the board were Jay Carter and Revan Fortner each with 3 points and Ethan Fields and John-Nathan Martin each with 2 points.
