On February 2, the David Emanuel Academy Varsity Eagles traveled to Thomas Jefferson to compete in a night of basketball. In the varsity girls’ game, Aubrey Williams led the Eagles with 9 points. Also contributing to the scoreboard was Bailey McNure with 8 points, Emma Proctor 6 points, Kylie Bell 5 points, and Lyla Martin 3 points. In the varsity boys’ game, a strong performance from Randon Williams with 25 points and Billy Martin with 21 points helped David Emanuel defeat Thomas Jefferson 75-65. Also contributing for the Eagles was Richard Braddy with 9 point, Peyton Lee 7 points, Ethan Fields 6 points, Tony Sutton 5 points, and Jay Carter 2 points.
