On January 29, the David Emanuel Academy Eagles varsity basketball teams traveled to Statesboro to compete against the Trinity Christian Lions. In the varsity girls’ game, Aubrey Williams was lead scorer with 16 points followed by Kylie Bell (9 points), Addalyn Terwilliger (6 points), Emma Proctor (5 points), Christen McCoy (3 points), and Payton Peebles and Bai-ley McNure (2 points each). The Lady Eagles fell short with a final score of 47-43. In the boys’ game, Randon Williams scored 33 points to lead David Emanuel to a 71-57 victory over the Lions. Following Williams, Peyton Lee added 12 points to the board followed by Billy Martin (8 points), Tony Sutton (7 points), Richard Braddy (6 points), and Ethan Fields (5 points).
