On Saturday, December 14, the ECI JROTC cadets took part in the national Wreaths Across America event at Swainsboro Cemetery, joining communities across the country in honoring the service and sacrifice of fallen military personnel.
As part of the ceremony, cadets solemnly placed wreaths on the graves of veterans, pausing to say each name aloud and express gratitude for their service. This act of remembrance provided a moment of reflection on the sacrifices made by those who will not return home for the holidays.
The Bulldog Battalion had the privilege of paying special tribute to PFC Ricky Lee, a former ECI cadet who served in the Army and made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Reflecting on his legacy, the cadets underscored the importance of keeping the memory of fallen soldiers alive in the hearts and minds of future generations.
This heartfelt ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the enduring gratitude owed to the nation’s heroes. PFC Lee and all those who have fallen in service are honored, remembered, and deeply missed.
