According to the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office…

February 10

Deputies were dispatched to Atkinson Drive in reference to stolen property. The homeowner advised that he heard a vehicle outside that sounded as if it was a small car. He went outside to check and there were missing items from his vehicle. This included a firearm and money.

February 11

Victim stated her estranged husband went to her residence and entered while she was getting ready and grabbed her and pulled her hair, then took her phone. Victim stated she loaded her children up to leave and offender jumped in the car. Victim took the kids to daycare and went to Enmarket, trying to get away from offender, and exited the back door to call 911. Victim was advised to get a TPO and offender was advised not to go back to the residence or he would be charged with trespassing. Deputy did a similar incident report on offender a week prior and found he had warrants out of Appling and Hancock County and was transported to EmCo Jail where Appling County picked him up.

Deputy responded to West 5th Avenue for a burglary that had already occurred. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant/victim who stated that his wife left to go visit family in Atlanta on Saturday and returned Monday. His wife observed items in his top dresser drawer had been moved along with a firearm and some loose change missing. They also observed two TV’s missing from bedroom. It was discovered that the offender had entered the residence by removing a window air conditioning unit behind the residence.

February 12

Deputy was patrolling down Canoochee Road when a deer entered the roadway. This resulted in a collision with the animal and minor damage made to the unit.

Investigator was assisting with SPD in a concentrated patrol within city limits.

February 13

C/p came to ECSO to file a report in reference to a theft that occurred on Clark Lane. C/p stated that she left some belongings at the location and when she returned to get them, they were missing.

Deputy spoke with c/p via phone in reference to a report. C/p stated that he had been receiving threatening/harassing messages from offender via Facebook. C/p stated that the messages were unprovoked and he has no idea why the offender has an issue with him. Offender has made threats of bodily harm.

February 13

C/p stated he began receiving threatening/harassing messages from offender via Facebook. Complainant stated the messages were unprovoked and does not know why the offender has an Issue with him, the offender has made threats of body harm to him. The complainant also stated that he believes the offender may try to harm him at work.

Complainant came to the ECSO to file a report In reference to a theft that occurred at 253 Clark Ln,. Complainant stated that she has left some belongings there and when she went to get her belongings there were several Items missing.

Victim stated that he made a political post on Facebook and the offender started sending threatening texts messages to him. The offender was saying he was going to send people to the victim’s house. The victim was advised of the process of going to the Magistrate Court.

February 14

Victim states that he ordered his tag online and It never showed up. He went to the tag office, and he was advised to call and do a Sheriff’s report.

February 15

C/p states that she and the offender were living together. The complainant states that she Is In the process of moving out and she went over to the offender’s house to get some of her belongings and while there the offender attacked her. She stated that the offender chocked her and broke her glasses. Deputy advised the offender to not destroy any of her property or get rid of It. Offender said he had no problem with the c/p coming back to get her property. The offender also stated that he was asleep when the c/p came to his house and she kicked his front door open, busting the door frame.

February 15

Deputy responded to the Incident location in reference to burglary that has already occurred. Upon arrival, the deputy met with complainant who stated that she observed her barn door standing open as she passed by on the road. Upon arrival, deputy walks towards the barn, he observed a chain and locks had been tampered with. Pry marks were then observed on the door frame and appeared as If the unknown offender pried the door frame enough to break that section of door and removed a chain. In front of the barn on the floor looked like there were marks from something heavy that sat in that spot prior to the burglary. C/p stated that she did not believe that anything was taken but she was unsure.
