Elizabeth Moore Rogers, 69, passed away December 25, 2023, in Rome, surrounded by her loving family. A graveside service will be held December 30, at 1 p.m. at Wiggins Cemetery in Blun. A celebration of life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Rome on January 6, 2024, at 3 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Beth was born on May 17, 1954, in Milledgeville, to the late Frank and Zula Moore. She graduated from Georgia College with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Beth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a passion for people and went on to have a distinguished career in Human Resources. Beth was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Rome and gave back to her community. She devoted her time to Mercy Care, the Hospitality House, and Community Kitchen serving those in need. She adored her role as a mother and grandmother and was an avid gardener. Beth never turned down a cookie.

Mrs. Rogers will be lovingly remembered by her husband of thirty years, Robert (Bob) O’Neal Rogers; daughters, Leslie (Thomas) Petit and Carolyn Neal Brown; stepsons, Sean (Leslie) Rogers and Chris (Nissa) Rogers; five grandchildren, Eli, Brendan, Andrew, Anna and Hugo; siblings, Darden (Pam) Moore, Marcia (Edward) Robinson, David (Suzie) Moore, Gracie (John) Lanier, Arthur (Rhonda) Moore and the late Mary (Alling) Jones; and many other loved extended family members.

Beth’s family would like to express their gratitude to Kendra Tate and all of the staff at Riverwood Senior Living for the compassionate care they provided for her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks those wishing to honor Beth do so by contributions to: Mercy Care, PO Box 866, Rome, GA 30162.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
