Mr. Gary Beasley Sr., age 74, of Oak Park, died Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his residence after an extended illness. Funeral service was held Thursday, February 29, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home. Entombment followed in the Kirby Cemetery in Oak Park. Family received friends Wednesday, February 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home.

Gary was a native of Oak Park and lived most of his life in Oak Park. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a paratrooper. Gary was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the United Fellowship Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed, gardening, fishing, playing cards, and riding his golf cart. Gary especially loved watching Georgia Bulldog football games and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Beasley is preceded in death by his wives, Carolyn Joy Deaton Beasley and Oliene Kirby Beasley; parents, Calvin Beasley and Ora Williamson Beasley; brothers, Ricky, Tony, Don and Arnold Beasley; and sisters, Joyce Beasley Oliva and Gail Beasley Cloud.

His family includes four children, Jennifer Strange (Ricky) of Oak Park, Cortney Gaddy (Chris) of Jackson, Gary Beasley (Erin) of McRae and Michelle Heady of East Providence, Rhode Island; two brothers, Wayne Beasley of Oak Park and Lonnie Michael Beasley (Allen) of Waycross; 11 grandchildren, Allison, Rick, Madison, Jaxon, Jonathan Gary, Brayden, Brody, Vinnie, Dylan, Anthony and Nick; four great-grandchildren, Hudson, Dylaney, Anson and Shelby; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of arrangements.
