On Thursday, August 22, the Georgia Forestry Commission visited the second-grade classes at Twin City Elementary School. The students had been learning about fires and the importance of fire safety. The Georgia Forestry Commission brought along Smokey the Bear to greet the students, too. The students learned about the equipment used to fight forest fires and what to do if they spot one. Thank you to Smokey and the Georgia Forestry Commission for visiting TCE.
