In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln declared the last Thursday in November would be a day of thanks for the whole country. Therefore, Thanksgiving will be celebrated this Thursday, November 28. Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude and reflection on our blessings. It is a day to praise and thank God for our blessings and ask Him to heal the nation’s wounds, to glorify him as an act of worship, giving thanks for all things as part of God’s providence and to humbly repent for our sinfulness and selfishness. Happy Thanksgiving!
The Forest-Blade will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29, in observance of Thanksgiving.
