Mr. Johnny E. Moore, 75, of Swainsboro, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 11, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Black officiating. Interment followed at Swainsboro City Cemetery. Family received friends Tuesday, February 11, one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers were Duane Hebert, Richard Snell, Scott Herrmann, Chris Holder and Jamey Blackwell.

Johnny was born March 6, 1949, in Swainsboro, to Ray Moore and Joyce Webb Moore. He retired from Georgia Department of Transportation after 34 years of service as a heavy equipment operator.

Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in the yards (where he was a perfectionist). He also loved spending time with his family. Johnny was a simple man. He attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pam Moore of Swainsboro; daughter, Tammi Wilson (Johnny) of Wrightsville; son, Jonathan Moore of Swainsboro; brothers, Jerry Moore and Jimmy Moore (Barbara), both of Swainsboro; sisters, Janice Walters (Craig) of Twin City, Brenda Snell of Swainsboro and Annette Scott (Chris) of Dellwood; grandchildren, Ethan Moore, Adysen Moore, Presley Wilson, Abby Wilson and Riley Wilson; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
