Lady Eagles 2024 surge past Twiggs Academy

David Emanuel Academy Varsity Lady Eagles scored 13 runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Twiggs Academy 16-0 on Monday, September 23. Aubrey Scott singled, scoring one run; Kaley Flowers tripled, scoring two runs; Bailey McNure singled, scoring one run; Kate Yeomans singled, scoring one run; Marlee Johnson doubled, scoring one run; an error scored one run; Kyli Bell doubled, scoring one run; Scott singled, scoring one run; an error scored one run; Flowers singled, scoring one run; McNure doubled, scoring one run; and Addalyn Terwilliger singled, scoring one run. The Lady Eagles added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Bell singled, Payton Peebles singled, and Twiggs Academy dropped a third strike, each scoring one run. Scott earned the win for David Emanuel Academy. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking none. The Eagles piled up 13 hits in the game. Flowers drove the middle of the lineup, leading David Emanuel Academy with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. McNure led the Eagles with three hits in three at bats. Bell and Scott each collected multiple hits. Peebles stole two bases. The Eagles were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Flowers had the most chances in the field with six.
