Mrs. Mary Louise Marsh Odom, 81, of Swainsboro, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 20, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Jonathon Shepard officiating. Interment will follow in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Renew, Tina Young, Terri Howard, Natalie Drew, Amy Crane and Miranda Kay Brantley.

Mrs. Odom was born May 10, 1943, in Statesboro, to the late Mr. William Luther Marsh and Mrs. Ollie Hudson Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Odom; daughter, Meloney Wilkes; grandson, Michael Holley; sisters, Katherine Moore, Marie Hillman and Eva Durden; brother, William Marsh.

Mrs. Odom is survived by her sons, Greg Howard (Jamie) of Augusta, William Weeks (Angela) of Port Bolivar, TX and Buddy Tapley (Dottie) of Winnie, TX; daughters, Vicky Howard of Augusta, Selina Vaugh of Dotham, AL and Joy Renew of Vidalia; brothers, Jimmy Marsh and Henry Thompson (Deborah) both of Swainsboro; 15 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
