Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…
Officer’s tag reader displayed that the registered owner of a vehicle had a suspended or revoked license, at which time he made a traffic stop. Driver identified himself as the offender and registered owner of the vehicle. Officer could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and advised the driver why he was stopped and he stated he did not have a license due to being suspended and has problems with his license in FL. Officer asked offender to step out of the vehicle and advised he could smell marijuana and offender stated he had smoked earlier in the day. Offender was placed in the back of the patrol unit and the vehicle was searched and a prescription bottle was found with marijuana in it and offender stated he did not know it was still in there. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer responded to Sonic in reference to a male threatening to shoot employees. Victim stated Sonic had a deal on corndogs and offender ordered online and when he arrived to get his order, victim told him that the corndogs were frozen and he would have to go back later. When offender went back to attempt to get his order, he was told that he would have to be refunded due to them getting ready to close and offender stated he would shoot them up. Offender got upset and demanded they give him his corndogs then went to his trunk and couldn’t find what he was looking for. Offender then opened his back door and grabbed a black firearm that looked like a rifle and started stating he was gonna run through the building and everybody was gonna get it, then got back in his vehicle and left. Officers located the vehicle and as they approached it, they noticed a firearm laying in the passenger seat. Officers located offender and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a theft. Complainant stated her weed eater was inside her home and when she got home, it had been stolen. C/p stated there were no signs of forced entry and suspects her roommate stole it.
Officers were dispatched to The Stockyard for a physical altercation the previously occurred. Complainant stated offender went inside and was told they were no longer taking customers and were closed. Offender stated the website said they were open until 9 p.m. and they need to fix the website if it is not right. C/p asked offender to leave and they walked out where offender stuck his hand out for a hand shake and grabbed c/p’s hand and cussed him, and c/p told offender he needed to leave. C/p wants offender criminally trespassed not to return. Contact was made with offender and agreed to stop by SPD to sign the trespass warning.
Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed when the radar went off showing 63 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, at which she initiated a traffic stop. Officer made contact with offender who immediately began to apologize advising he was late for work. Officer was familiar with offender having an active probation warrant and had it confirmed. Officer then advised offender of the warrant status and had him exit the vehicle. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail and issued a citation for speeding with a reduced speed of 49 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
Officer made contact with an employee at Ogeechee Behavioral Health who contacted the Chief about possible elder abuse. Victim advised a named male subject that lives in the same care home that she lives in has been assaulting her and advised she notified the landlord who didn’t seem to care. Victim stated offender threw her out of a chair and began hitting her. Victim also stated that people tried to get offender off of her. Detective attempted to make contact with offender and was advised that he had already been picked up.
Officer was notified to be enroute to WalMart in reference to a domestic. Victim had a band over her nose with visible bleeding and advised her boyfriend got angry at her and a verbal altercation took place and offender headbutted her. Offender was observed by officers inside The Stockyard having a drink and was escorted out and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers responded to the area of Lee St. for shots fired and were unable to find anyone in the area. Officers were then called to an apartment on Lee St. in reference to a bullet hole in the house. Complainant stated he was on the couch when he heard a single gunshot and heard a pipe bust in his kitchen and noticed a bullet hole in the wall. Officers saw the hole in the wall that appeared to be a bullet hole, then saw another hole under the sink.
Officers were dispatched to Braswell Blvd. in reference to a structure fire. Officers secured the scene and observed there was no fire present, jut smoke. Occupant of the residence turned on the heater and the dust from the heater made smoke.
Officers were dispatched to Lewis St. in reference to a female trying to fight another female. Complainant stated offender went to her house and threatened to fight her then threw a brick at her car, damaging it in several places.
Officer responded to Rodeway Inn in reference to a female getting beat up by her boyfriend. Complainant advised she was waiting for her brother to pick her up and her boyfriend hit her on the leg and stated she wasn’t sure why police were called because there was no physical altercation.
Officer responded to Swainsboro Ford in reference to harassing communications. Complainant advised an unknown person was texting him about dealings with a vehicle and c/p’s brother.
Complainant went to SPD to file a report about what she believed to be meth found inside her vehicle and believes it was left in there by her boyfriend. C/p stated she wanted her vehicle searched to ensure there were no other drugs in it. Officer did not locate any other drugs but found a wallet belonging to c/p’s boyfriend in the console and c/p advised she wants his out of her house. Officer explained the eviction process to c/p.
Complainant contacted officer advising she noticed someone had taken her tag decal off of her vehicle.
