Swainsboro Rotary Club holds meeting

The Swainsboro Rotary club met at the Rustic Grill on Monday, February 26, during the noon hour. The meeting was called to order by President Tanya Lane. A prayer was offered and the pledge and 4way test were recited. Mitch Fagler introduced the speaker for the meeting. Rebecca Ethredge and Jamie Mallard gave presentations to the club. Rebecca is an employee of Southeastern Technical college and Jamie Mallard was a student at the college. She won the GOAL award this year and will compete at the state level in the next few weeks. Jamie’s major was Business management. She discussed the advantages of getting a technical college degree and how this has impacted her life and her family’s life. The club also discussed the Pine Tree Festival Pageant activities that will be held on April 27, at the Swainsboro City Auditorium.
